Pre-Season Accelerator
This season OYH is taking over "Knock the Rust-Off". As part of OYH push to grow our players we are adding pre and in season programming to improve player skills. Our pre-season accelerator will focus on preparing your player for the upcoming season and have a special focus on skating skills.
We are bringing in one of the best skating coaches around, Amy Clagget, to help provide our players power skating coaching.
Players will get 3 sessions with Amy Clagget and 4 OYH coach led sessions throughout the 4 weeks. One week of the four, players will have a bye week and have a skills, but no power skating session.
Ages
This will be for 10U-14U players in the 2026/27 season.
We are offering an all girls option as well for those 10/12U girls. Players can join this regardless of intention to play all girls and is open to returning or players who want to try an all girls option.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have a ?- reach out to Andy Meyer for more information.
We will update as questions come in.
Q: Is this required for my player?
A: No, but it is a great opportunity to get your player on the ice to freshen up their legs and skills and start to learn new skills before the season even starts.
Q: Why isn't it called "Knock the Rust Off" like it always has?
A: We heard from our families that they would like to see more camps run by Oregon Youth Hockey, so we are starting here. Rebranding this from "Knock the Rust Off" to "Pre-Season Accelerator" marks this change and changes to the longstanding pre-season camp.
Cost
The cost will be $150 for the session. This is under our cost to run the program and we are able to offer this program at a reduction thanks to your donations and our amazing fundraising efforts!
